World Cup 2006 Final : France - Italy

Italy won the 2006 world cup....beating France on penalties after played two hours. The first half was marked by the italian performance whereas the second half showed an exceptional french team ready to win the 2006 World Cup and bring back the golden trophee to France for the second time. But that is How the World cup is; no matter who is the best penalties is just about luck.

France lost the game after the Captain Zinedine Zidane, "Zizou" headbutted the middle-field Materazzi and got a red card. Everyone of us who knows Zizou will say that if he did headball the italian player, he had a good reason to do it. However, he should not have done this.

In France Zizou is a legend and will always be concidered as a legend, being one of the most respectful and peaceful players in the football story. Zidane and "Les Bleus 98 et 2006" made France dream, and for that they will always be a part of us. Some of them now done with profesionnal football, some of them will be here for 2010. For sure, in France, our National Heroe will always have his place is our heart...just forever and a little while more.
